Obama To Expand Earned Income
Credit
Plan to Revitalize the Economy
Jumpstart the Economy
* Enact a Windfall
Profits Tax to Provide a $1,000 Emergency Energy Rebate to
American Families:Barack Obama and Joe Biden will enact a windfall
profits tax on excessive oil company profits to give American families
an immediate $1,000 emergency energy rebate to help families pay
rising bills. This relief would be a down payment on the Obama-Biden
long-term plan to provide middle-class families with at least $1,000
per year in permanent tax relief.
* Provide $50 billion to
Jumpstart the Economy and Prevent 1 Million Americans from Losing
Their Jobs: This relief would include a $25 billion State
Growth Fund to prevent state and local cuts in health, education,
housing, and heating assistance or counterproductive increases in
property taxes, tolls or fees. The Obama-Biden relief plan will also
include $25 billion in a Jobs and Growth Fund to prevent cutbacks in
road and bridge maintenance and fund school repair - all to save more
than 1 million jobs in danger of being cut.
Provide Middle Class Americans Tax Relief
Obama and Biden will cut income taxes by $1,000 for working families
to offset the payroll tax they pay.
* Provide a Tax Cut for Working Families: Obama
and Biden will restore fairness to the tax code and provide 150
million workers the tax relief they need. Obama and Biden will
create a new “Making Work Pay” tax credit of up to $500 per person, or
$1,000 per working family. The “Making Work Pay” tax credit will
completely eliminate income taxes for 10 million Americans.
NOTE: This will eliminate 10 million families
from paying any income tax
Obama: Give Terrorists $2B For
Education
Homeland Security
The Problem
Conventional thinking has failed to adapt to a world of
new threats. Barack Obama and Joe Biden understand that a range of risks,
both natural and manmade, can have major consequences for the security,
prosperity, and well-being of Americans at home and abroad. We need a
president who understands these new security threats - and who has
effective strategies for addressing them…
Barack Obama and Joe Biden’s Plan
Defeat Terrorism Worldwide
… Prepare the Military to Meet 21st Century Threats:
Barack Obama will not hesitate to use military force to take out
terrorists who pose a threat to America. Obama will ensure that our
military becomes more stealthy, agile, and lethal in its ability to
capture or kill terrorists. He will bolster our military’s ability
to speak different languages, navigate different cultures, and coordinate
complex missions with our civilian agencies.
Win the Battle of Ideas:
An Obama Administration will defeat al Qaeda in what the 9-11 Commission
called “the Battle of Ideas” by returning to an American foreign
policy consistent with America’s traditional values and by working with
moderates within the Islamic world to counter al Qaeda propaganda.
Barack Obama will establish a $2 billion Global
Education Fund to work to eliminate the global education deficit
and offer an alternative to extremist schools…
Prevent Nuclear Terrorism
Barack Obama and Joe Biden have a comprehensive strategy
for nuclear security that will reduce the danger of nuclear terrorism,
prevent the spread of nuclear weapons capabilities, and strengthen the
nuclear nonproliferation regime.
Secure Nuclear Weapons Materials in Four Years and End
Nuclear Smuggling: Barack Obama will lead a global effort to secure all
nuclear weapons materials at vulnerable sites within four years - the most
effective way to prevent terrorists from acquiring a nuclear bomb. Barack
Obama will fully implement the Lugar-Obama legislation to help our allies
detect and stop the smuggling of weapons of mass destruction.
Strengthen Policing and Interdiction Efforts: Barack
Obama will institutionalize the Proliferation Security Initiative (PSI), a
global initiative aimed at stopping shipments of weapons of mass
destruction, their delivery systems, and related materials worldwide.
Convene a Summit on Preventing Nuclear
Terrorism: Barack Obama will convene a summit in 2009 (and regularly
thereafter) of leaders of Permanent Members of the UN Security Council and
other key countries to agree on implementing many of these measures on a
global basis.
Eliminate Iran’s and North Korea’s Nuclear Weapons
Programs Through Tough, Direct Diplomacy: Barack
Obama will use tough diplomacy - backed by real incentives and real
pressures - to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons and to
eliminate fully and verifiably North Korea’s nuclear weapons program.
Strengthen the International Atomic Energy
Agency (IAEA): Barack Obama will seek to ensure that the Agency gets the
authority, information, people, and technology it needs to do its job.
Control Fissile Materials: Barack Obama will lead a
global effort to negotiate a verifiable treaty ending the production of
fissile materials for weapons purposes.
Prevent Nuclear Fuel from Becoming Nuclear Bombs: Barack
Obama will work with other interested governments to establish a
new international nuclear energy architecture - including an international
nuclear fuel bank, international nuclear fuel cycle centers, and reliable
fuel supply assurances - to meet growing demands for nuclear power without
contributing to the proliferation of nuclear materials and fuel production
facilities.
Set the Goal of a Nuclear-Free World: Barack
Obama will show the world that America believes in its existing commitment
under the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty to work to ultimately eliminate
all nuclear weapons…
Seek Real, Verifiable Reductions in Nuclear
Stockpiles: Barack Obama will seek deep, verifiable reductions in all U.S.
and Russian nuclear weapons and work with other nuclear powers to reduce
global stockpiles dramatically by the end of his presidency…
Strengthen Nuclear Risk Reduction Work at Defense,
State, and Energy Departments: Thwarting terrorist networks requires
international partnerships in military, intelligence, law enforcement,
financial transactions, border controls, and transportation security. To
make diplomacy more effective, Obama will stop shuttering consulates and
start opening them in the tough and hopeless corners of the world. He will
expand our foreign service, and develop the capacity of our civilian aid
workers to work alongside the military.
Strengthen American Biosecurity
… Lead an International Effort to Diminish Impact of
Major Infectious Disease Epidemics: Senator Obama was one of the
first legislators to recognize the dangers of a potential avian influenza
pandemic and was successful in securing $25 million for U.S. agencies to
combat and contain widespread outbreaks of avian flu and worked to provide
$4 billion in funding to the Centers for Disease Control to combat avian
flu…
Protect Our Information Networks
As president, Barack Obama will lead an effort,
working with private industry, the research community and our citizens, to
build a trustworthy and accountable cyber infrastructure that is
resilient, protects America’s competitive advantage, and advances our
national and homeland security.
Strengthen Federal Leadership on Cyber Security:
Barack Obama will declare the cyber infrastructure a strategic asset and
will establish the position of national cyber
advisor who will report directly to the president and will be
responsible for coordinating federal agency efforts and development of
national cyber policy…
Protect the IT Infrastructure That Keeps America’s
Economy Safe: The public and private infrastructure that keeps America
running is increasingly brought online to improve efficiency and reduce
costs. Barack Obama will work with the private sector to establish
tough new standards for cyber security and physical resilience for
critical infrastructure…
Improve Intelligence Capacity and Protect Civil
Liberties
… Give Real Authority to
the Privacy and Civil Liberties Board:
Created by Congress and recommended by the 9/11
Commission, the Privacy and Civil Liberties Board needs to be
substantially reformed and empowered to safeguard against an erosion in
American civil liberties. As president, Barack Obama will support efforts
to strengthen the Board with subpoena powers and reporting
responsibilities, will give the Board a robust mandate designed to protect
American civil liberties and will demand transparency from the Board to
ensure accountability…
NOTE: We are going to defeat Al Qaeda by giving
them $2 billion to educate themselves?
Obama Will Give Illegal Aliens Amnesty
Plan for Immigration
The Problem
Undocumented population is exploding: The number of
undocumented immigrants in the country has increased more than 40
percent since 2000. Every year, more than a half-million people come
illegally or illegally overstay their visas.
Immigration bureaucracy is broken: The immigration
bureaucracy is broken and overwhelmed, forcing legal immigrants to wait
years for applications.
Immigration raids are ineffective: Despite a sevenfold
increase in recent years, immigration raids only netted 3,600 arrests in
2006 and have placed all the burdens of a broken system onto immigrant
families.
Barack Obama and Joe Biden’s Plan
Create Secure Borders
Obama and Biden want to preserve the integrity of our
borders. They support additional personnel, infrastructure and
technology on the border and at our ports of entry.
Improve Our Immigration System
Obama and Biden believe we must fix the dysfunctional
immigration bureaucracy and increase the number of legal immigrants to
keep families together and meet the demand for jobs that employers
cannot fill.
Remove Incentives to Enter Illegally
Obama and Biden will remove incentives to enter the
country illegally by cracking down on employers who hire undocumented
immigrants.
Bring People Out of the Shadows
Obama and Biden support a system that allows
undocumented immigrants who are in good standing to pay a fine, learn
English, and go to the back of the line for the opportunity to become
citizens.

Democrats undercut aid for U.S. workers 2/11/2009
With all the hoopla over greasy pork being stuffed into
President Barack Obama's near trillion-dollar spending bill,
it's what is being cut out that's receiving too little attention.
And once Americans realize it, they won't be happy.
What's been quietly stripped is a provision that would have
required any businesses receiving federal stimulus cash to use an
easy computer program called E-Verify to make sure that the jobs
they generate go to American citizens or documented foreign workers,
not illegal immigrants.
Democrats in the House voted for the E-Verify component. But when
the great porkulus package reached the Senate, Democrats there
dropped it.

Suddenly, all mention of “required” has been
disappeared. And the college tuition incentive has been added.
NOTE: SKIP AHEAD TO 4/23/2009 TO SEE THIS
HAPPEN ALMOST WITHOUT A WHIMPER. totalitarians understand, control the youth and
you control tomorrow.
Update!
All of the individual pages where Mr. Obama listed great
his plans for our future have been removed from the official web site -
Except for his “Service” page, where the word “require”
has been replaced with words like “encourage” — and a $4,000 college
tuition incentive.
Yet the Obama campaign still claim
to have these plans, and that they
are ready to “rule” on day one:

Obama plans Guantanamo closure, US
terror trials 11/11/2009
Associated Press
WASHINGTON (AP)
- President-elect Obama's advisers are quietly
crafting a proposal to ship dozens, if not hundreds, of imprisoned
terrorism suspects to the United States to face criminal trials, a
plan that would make good on his promise to close the Guantanamo Bay
prison but could require creation of a controversial new system of
justice.

Jamie S. Gorelick considered for AG
New York Times
Carries as baggage:
Her work at Fannie Mae, which had to be bailed out by the government in
September as part of a $200 billion deal. Ms. Gorelick left the company
just as it was coming under attack for huge accounting failures. She has
also drawn criticism for her role at the Justice
Department, in which she allegedly created an intelligence “wall” that
hindered counterterrorism agents in the years before the Sept. 11 attacks.
Conservatives called for her removal from the Sept. 11 commission, but her
fellow members rallied around her and said critics were distorting her
record. The criticism grew so heated that the F.B.I. investigated a death
threat against her family, and President Bush had to intervene personally
to stop the Justice Department from releasing sealed reports involving
her. Some conservative bloggers have already begun trying to derail Ms.
Gorelick’s possible nomination as attorney general, pointing to her
experiences at both Fannie Mae and the Sept. 11 commission.
NOTE: She was paid $25.6 million in
salary and other compensation from 1998 to 2003 at Fannie Mae, but jumped
ship before the axe fell - wonder why? |

Climate change
garbage: 11/21/2008
“There is absolutely no scientific
evidence that Obama’s carbon capping targets would solve any of these
problems,” the Heritage Foundation argued. “If the U.S. reduced carbon
emissions by 75 percent by 2050, it would result in just 0.013 degrees
Celsius of “prevented” warming by 2050.”
Other bullet points in the Heritage
counter-argument included:
Studies show that stabilizing carbon at
2000 levels would do nothing to stop the rising seas.
The Electric Power Research Institute in
Palo Alto, Calif., calculates that even if the United States, Europe
and Japan turned off every power plant and mothballed every car,
atmospheric carbon dioxide would still climb from the current 380
parts-per-million to a perilous 450 ppm by 2070 -- thanks to
contributions from China and India.
The Heritage rebuttal also
emphasized that there are no environmental benefits from Obama’s green
agenda promises only costs to bear from the President Elect’s
cap-and-trade plan, for instance. Obama says he will take the proceeds
from his plan and spend $15 billion a year to create 5 million new
green jobs.
The Foundation fired back with these
bullets:
* The environmentalist left has already
admitted these numbers are completely bogus. Apollo Alliance
co-director Kate Gordon recently told the Wall Street Journal that her
group’s job estimates were arrived at “just to inspire people.”
* Heritage’s Center for Data Analysis
studied the economic costs of the much less stringent Lieberman-Warner
cap-and-trade plan and found that it would cost the U.S. economy a
$4.8 trillion loss in GDP and a net one million loss of jobs by 2030.
* “There is a reason European Union countries such as Germany and Italy
are insisting that the EU’s greenhouse gas emissions targets be eased;
they are experiencing the economic pain of the green agenda first hand,”
argued the Heritage Foundation brief. “The EU’s cap-and-trade program is
in complete collapse. Now is not the time for the U.S. to import
Europe’s failed and job killing environmental policy.”

The American
electorate? 11/26/2008
The majority of American voters say they would have been less
likely to vote for President-elect Barack Obama if they had known
he supported controversial legislation that would eliminate
workers' right to a secret ballot in union elections, according to
an exclusive post-election poll conducted by ATI-News and Zogby
International.
One of Obama's campaign promises was to push for controversial
legislation, misleadingly dubbed the "Employee Free Choice Act,"
which would eliminate workers' right to a secret ballot when
voting on whether or not to form a union. The promise helped Obama
win the crucial support of union chiefs.

of the New York senator. "Was she negotiating treaties? Was she

Obama's
End Run around Congress
12/9/2008
Candidate Barack Obama promised
"change we can believe in," but he never hinted that this
change would all but circumvent Congress to impose on America
the most dramatic liberal social transformation since the New
Deal. While promising to lead, he did not suggest that he
would create a kind of "imperial presidency" that would
horrify the Founding Fathers. Based on their own direct
experience with a sovereign, they were rightly concerned with
any one man having too much power. This is the kind of power

Hot air from Obama 12/14/2008
In one of his first public
policy statements as America's president-elect, Barack Obama
focused on climate change, and clearly stated both his
priorities and the facts on which these priorities rest.
Unfortunately, both are weak, or even wrong.
Obama's policy outline was presented via video to California
Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's Governors' Global Warming
Summit, and has again been shown in Poznan, Poland, to leaders
assembled to flesh out a global warming road map. According to
Obama, "few challenges facing America and the world are more
urgent than combating climate change". Such a statement is now commonplace for most political leaders
across the world, even though it neglects to address the
question of how much we can do to help America and the world
through climate policies v other policies.

Obama's Plan to Rejoin the World
Community 12/23/2008
Obama plans to use his presidential power to get the
Democratic-majority Senate to ratify a series of treaties that
would take us a long way toward global rule over our money,
our laws, our military, our courts, our customs, our trade and
even our use of energy. Here are the treaties he says he
wants:
* The U.N. Law of the Sea Treaty (LOST), which Ronald Reagan
rejected in 1982 - LOST gives the ISA the power to levy
international taxes.
* the Comprehensive Nuclear Test Ban Treaty - It would prohibit
all nuclear explosive testing and thereby allow our nuclear
arsenal to deteriorate until the American people are
defenseless against rogue regimes such as Iran and North
Korea.
* A new Global Warming Treaty - The new treaty would force
dramatic reductions in our use of energy
* the U.N. Treaty on Women, known as CEDAW - This treaty would
require us "to modify the social and cultural patterns of
conduct of men and women," to follow U.N. dictates about
"family education," to revise our textbooks to conform to
feminist ideology in order to ensure "the elimination of any
stereotyped concept of the roles of men and women" and to set
up a federal "network of child-care facilities." Article 16
would require us to allow women "to decide number and spacing
of their children." Everyone recognizes this as feminist
jargon for a U.N. obligation to allow abortion on demand.
* the U.N. Treaty on the Rights of the Child - This treaty would
give children rights against their parents and society to
express their own views "freely in all matters," to receive
information of all kinds through "media of the child's
choice," to use their "own language," and to have the right to
"rest and leisure.
*** Every U.N. treaty would interfere with self-government
over some aspect of our lives and would transfer significant
power to foreign bureaucrats, many of whom hate and envy
America.

Eligibility case finds 'standing'? 12/31/2008
New suit claims unique state law enables citizens to demand
proof
"These lawsuits have pointed their fingers at the various
secretaries of state and said, 'You handle the elections, it's
your job [to verify Obama's eligibility],'" Stephen Pidgeon
told WND, "and the secretaries of state have said, 'No, it's
not our job. You the voter have to prove he was ineligible.'
But when the voters try to do it, the courts tell them they
have no standing. So it presents a catch-22.
"Here, we have standing by means of
statute," Pidgeon continued. "This particular
statute provides for any registered voter to challenge the
election of a candidate if the candidate at the time of the
election was ineligible to hold office."

AP: Clinton acted on
concerns of husband's donors 1/13/2009
WASHINGTON
- Secretary of
State nominee Hillary Rodham Clinton intervened at least six
times in government issues directly affecting companies and
others that later contributed to her husband's foundation, an
Associated Press review of her official correspondence found.
The overlap of names on former President Bill Clinton's
foundation donor list and business interests whose issues she
championed raise new questions about potential ethics
conflicts between her official actions and her husband's
fundraising. The AP obtained three of the senator's government
letters under the Freedom of Information Act.

Treasury nominee failed to pay
taxes 1/13/2009
This one deserves the whole
story!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WASHINGTON (AP) - President-elect Barack Obama's choice to run
the Treasury Department and lead the economic rescue effort
disclosed to senators Tuesday that he failed to pay $34,000 in
taxes from 2001 to 2004, a last-minute complication in an
otherwise smooth path to confirmation.
Timothy Geithner paid most of the past-due taxes days before
Obama announced his nomination in November, an Obama
transition official said. The unpaid taxes were discovered by
Obama's transition team while investigating Geithner's
background, the official said.
The transition official requested anonymity because the source
was not authorized to discuss Geithner's situation.
Obama reiterated his support Tuesday for Geithner as senators
who are considering the appointment quizzed Geithner behind
closed doors.
"He's dedicated his career to our country and served with
honor, intelligence and distinction," incoming White House
spokesman Robert Gibbs said. "That service should not be
tarnished by honest mistakes, which, upon learning of them, he
quickly addressed."
Geithner failed to pay self-employment taxes for money he
earned while working for the International Monetary Fund from
2001 to 2003, the transition official said. In 2006, the IRS
notified him that he owed $14,847 in self-employment taxes and
$2,383 in penalties from 2003 and 2004.
Transition officials discovered last fall that Geithner also
had not paid the taxes in 2001 or 2002. He paid $25,970 in
taxes and interest for those years several days before Obama
announced his nomination, the transition official said.
Geithner also didn't realize a housekeeper he paid in 2004 and
2005 did not have current employment documentation as an
immigrant for the final three months she worked for him, the
transition official said.
Geithner is the second Obama nominee to face controversy. New
Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson withdrew his name on Jan. 4 as
Obama's Commerce secretary after questions surfaced about an
ongoing federal investigation.

IINAUGURATION
DAY 2008, A DARK DAY FOR AMERICA |
Obama Stumbles
Out of the Gate 1/20/2009
Barack Obama has yet to be sworn in as
president, but he's already been bedeviled by a series of miscues and
unfortunate revelations.
Among them:
*Obama named Timothy Geithner as his Treasury secretary, only to find out
that Geithner had failed to pay $34,000 in taxes several years ago.
Geithner, who in his post would be the head of the IRS, did not pay
self-employment taxes for money he earned from 2001 to 2004 while working
for the International Monetary Fund.
He paid some of the taxes in 2006, after an IRS audit, but it wasn't until
days before Obama tapped him to head Treasury that he paid back the rest.
*New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson withdrew his nomination to be Obama's
commerce secretary amid a grand jury investigation.
The jury is investigating how a California company that contributed to
Richardson's political activities won a New Mexico state contract worth
more than $1 billion.
*The arrest of Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich was an embarrassment to
Obama, whose ties to the governor run primarily through Chicago slum lord
and felon Tony Rezko.
Rezko served as the political godfather for both Blagojevich and Obama,
helping both to rise in Chicago and Illinois politics. Obama himself has
credited Rezko with helping bolster his political career.
Rezko raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for both politicians.
The FBI charges that Blagojevich conspired to sell the Illinois Senate
seat vacated by Obama.
*Obama personally endorsed Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid's stance
against seating Roland Burris to replace Obama in the Senate after Burris
was appointed by scandal-scarred Gov. Blagojevich.
But Obama and Reid eventually had to back down, and Obama conceded that
when the Senate seats Burris 'I'm going to work with Roland Burris just
like I work with all the other senators.'
*Obama's choice for Attorney General, Eric Holder, acknowledged that he
made mistakes in the 2001 pardon of fugitive financier Marc Rich when
Holder was Clinton's deputy attorney general.
Rich's wife was a major donor to the Democratic Party and to Clinton's
library. Holder urged Rich's lawyer to solicit a pardon directly from the
White House.
Holder has also been criticized for his role in the April 2000 government
raid that led to the return of a Cuban boy, Elian Gonzales, to his
homeland, and for the pardons of 16 Puerto Rican nationalists responsible
for a series of bombings that killed six people and injured dozens more.
*Obama's appointment of Leon Panetta as the new CIA director drew howls of
protest from Sen. Diane Feinstein, chair of the Senate intelligence
committee.
Panetta has no experience with the intelligence community, and Feinstein
issued a statement making it clear she preferred a career intelligence
professional.
*Reports surfaced that Obama's choice to be his global warming czar,
former EPA administrator Carol Browner, was listed as one of 14 leaders of
a socialist group's Commission for a Sustainable World Society.
The organization calls for "global governance" and says rich countries
must shrink their economies to address climate change, according to the
Washington Times.
*Obama was also criticized for his appointment of Arizona Gov. Janet
Napolitano as secretary of Homeland Security.
'He could have selected a Rudy Giuliani or a Louis Free or a Ray Kelly '
anyone with real life experience in battling terrorists,' political
analyst Dick Morris observed.
'Instead he chose a governor with no knowledge of the subject whose
obvious credential is her proximity to the border.'

The Obama
Presidency: Here Comes Socialism 1/21/2009
He will so sharply cut taxes on the middle
class and the poor that the number of Americans who pay no federal income
tax will rise from the current one-third of all households to more than
half. In the process, he will create a permanent electoral majority that
does not pay taxes, but counts on ever expanding welfare checks from the
government. The dependency on the dole, formerly limited in pre-Clinton
days to 14 million women and children on AFDC, will now grow to a clear
majority of the U.S. population.
So Obama's name will be mud by 2012 and probably by 2010, as well. And the
Republican Party will make big gains and regain much of its lost power.
But it will be too late to reverse the socialism of much of the economy,
the demographic change in the electorate, the rationing of health care by
the government, the surge of unionization and the crippling of talk radio.

Obama takes presidential
oath again after stumble 1/22/2009
Craig, the White House lawyer, said in a
statement Wednesday evening: "We believe the oath of office was
administered effectively and that the president was sworn in appropriately
yesterday. Yet the oath appears in the
Constitution itself. And out of the abundance of caution,
because there was one word out of sequence, Chief Justice John Roberts
will administer the oath a second time."
The Constitution is clear about the exact wording of the oath and as a
result, some constitutional experts have said that a do-over probably
wasn't necessary but also couldn't hurt.

Obama's Dirty
Dozen: What the President's Agenda Means for America
Here are a 'dirty dozen'
changes Team Obama is most likely to enact.
1. Allow Anyone
to Vote
[Probability 5.2 / U.S. Impact 6.4 / GOP Impact 7.8 / GOP Misery Index
= 6.46]
The 2008 election triggered multiple voter-fraud investigations,
and Democrats apparently have decided that, if everyone is declared
eligible to vote, no one can be accused of voting illegally.
Registering to vote is just a 'bureaucratic obstacle' they say. So
Sen. Hillary Clinton, D-N.Y., says she'll introduce legislation to
promote automatic, universal voter registration by the government.
Government voter registration would rely on existing databases,
mail surveys, and door-to-door canvassing. This would make the
demographic challenges facing Republicans that much tougher.
2. Ban Offshore Drilling
[Probability 7.0 / U.S. Impact 7.5 / GOP Impact 3.1/ GOP Misery Index
= 5.86 ]
Blocking offshore oil drilling has been a mainstay of the
Democratic agenda. Under political pressure, Congress let a drilling
moratorium expire, and President Bush changed an executive order that
prohibits it. Obama will be pressured to reinstate the executive
prohibition. It wouldn't even require congressional approval.
3. Close Guantanamo
[Probability 9.8 / U.S. Impact 7.5 / GOP Impact 2.0 / GOP Misery Index
= 6.43]
Now that Guantanamo Bay is Obama's problem, The New York Times is
admitting the problems associated with shutting it down, stating it
could lead to 'the release of suspects for lack of evidence.' Jailing
suspects in the United States could lead to the radicalization and
recruitment of U.S. prison populations, along with the nightmare
scenario of armed jailbreaks. Obama is closing the camp to placate the
globalists -- but at what cost to U.S. security'
4. Curtail Gun Owners' Rights
[Probability 8.0 / U.S. Impact 8.5 / GOP Impact 3.2 / GOP Misery Index
= 6.56]
Obama strongly supports the right of cities and states to restrict
gun owners' rights. So it was not surprising that more than 350,000
Americans rushed to buy guns the week after the election. Expect Obama
to appoint judges who oppose the Supreme Court's decision to overturn
Washington, D.C.'s, gun ban. No only will he have a chance to fill key
vacancies of the nation's appellate courts, Democrats are pushing
through a new judgeship bill that will create more judicial slots '
all to be vetted and filled by the Democrat-controlled Congress.
5. Enact Amnesty for Illegal Immigrants
[Probability 8.2 / U.S. Impact 7.8 / GOP Impact 8.8 / GOP
Misery Index = 8.26]
Democrats know that amnesty for America's 12 million illegal
immigrants is the best way to lock in the gains it achieved in 2008.
Given the 2006 political backlash against immigration reform,
however, look for Obama and Congress to move circumspectly. The first
step will be legislation fast-tracking naturalization for all illegals
serving in the U.S. military or attending college. Next, processing
backlogs will be expedited. Given that 67 percent of Latinos voted for
Obama in 2008, the long-term impact on the GOP could be devastating.
Amnesty would be 'a nation killer' politically, says William Gheen,
president of the Raleigh, N.C.-based Americans for Legal Immigration
PAC (ALIPAC). It would 'destroy any future hopes for immigration
enforcement or border security,' he warns.
6. End Faith-Based Initiatives
[Probability 7.7/ U.S. Impact 7.1 / GOP Impact 6.5 / GOP Misery Index
= 7.10]
Obama insists that religious groups not discriminate in hiring,
which could kill faith-based initiatives. This could mean, for
example, that an Orthodox Jewish group would have to hire an avowed
atheist to administer a faith-based program. 'He's rolling back the
Bush protections,' Richard Cizik, vice president of the National
Association of Evangelicals, told The New York Times.
7. Give Driver's Licenses to Illegal Immigrants
[Probability 8.5 / U.S. Impact 6.6 / GOP Impact 7.4 / GOP Misery Index
= 7.43]
Obama says giving illegals licenses 'is the right idea.'
Unfortunately, a driver's license confers many other rights to
anyone who holds it. With a license, you can board a commercial
aircraft, open a checking account, or register to vote.
'When you give somebody a license you give them the keys to the
kingdom,' says ALIPAC's Gheen. 'You have at that point given them a
type of legal presence.'
8. Hike Taxes
[Probability 6.6 / U.S. Impact 7.2 / GOP Impact 6.3 / GOP Misery Index
= 6.70]
Obama promised to cut taxes for 95 percent of Americans -- quite a
feat, considering that only about 60 percent of Americans earn enough
to pay taxes in the first place. Political sleight-of-tongue aside,
any realistic hope of extending the Bush tax cuts died on Nov. 4.
Obama has yet to back off on his plan to hike taxes for the wealthiest
5 percent of Americans, despite the worst economic conditions since
the Great Depression.
9. Implement 'Card Check' in the Workplace
[Probability 6.0 / U.S. Impact 8.1 / GOP Impact 7.2 / GOP Misery Index
= 7.10]
The unions helped elect Obama and expect some payback. They're
demanding approval of the Employee Free Choice Act, which, naturally,
being a government program, seeks to take away workers' free choice.
The act would eliminate the confidential balloting in which workers
now determine whether they want to be unionized. Even former
Democratic presidential candidate George McGovern warns that the
measure could deny 'freedom to many Americans.'
10. Impose Greenhouse Restrictions
[Probability 8.5 / U.S. Impact 7.8 / GOP Impact 2.3 / GOP Misery Index
= 6.20]
Energy companies are bracing for a double whammy: Obama will push
for the greenhouse gas cap-and-trade system he once said would
bankrupt coal-fired power plants, while hitting oil companies with a
windfall profits tax. It's all part of 'spreading the wealth around.'
11. Silence Talk Radio
[Probability 5.6 / U.S. Impact 7.8 / GOP Impact 8.5 / GOP Misery Index
= 7.30]
Democratic Campaign Chairman Charles Schumer recently compared
outlawing talk radio with 'limiting pornography.' So should Rush,
Sean, Laura, and the gang start looking for another line of work' The
guess here is that the Democratic troika of Obama, House Speaker Nancy
Pelosi, and Sen. Harry Reid will have bigger problems to deal with, at
least initially. But count on frequent attempts to intimidate
right-minded radio.
12. Promote Islamic Education
[Probability 5.5 / U.S. Impact 6.1 / GOP Impact 2.7 / GOP Misery Index
= 4.76]
Despite the recession, Obama plans to pour $2 billion into
reforming schools -- not in America, mind you, but in the Middle East.
It's all part of Obama's plan to defeat global terrorism by winning
'the battle of ideas.' Obama promises to 'work with moderates within
the Islamic world' by establishing 'a $2 billion Global Education Fund
to work to eliminate the global education deficit and offer an
alternative to extremist schools.'

Obama's order

Hollow victory:
Republicans deliver slap in the face to Barack Obama 1/28/2009
President Barack Obama got the $825 (or $1.2 trillion over a decade)
stimulus package through the House of Representatives but the 244 to 188
vote is a hollow victory indeed. Without a single Republican voting for
the bill, his high-profile visit to Capitol Hill on Tuesday came to
exactly naught - at least on the House side.
Obama vowed to change Washington and usher in a new post-partisan era. The
the mood music and optics were pitch perfect as he trekked up to the Hill.
Republicans praised his gesture, welcomed his sincere demeanor and
appreciated his willingness to listen.
Problem was, he wanted only to listen and did not want to act on what
Republicans said. When he was asked if he would re-structure the package
to include more tax cuts, he reportedly responded: "Feel free to whack me
over the head because I probably will not compromise on that part."

Only 5 percent of
$819b plan would go toward infrastructure 1/29/2009
Critics say transportation is shortchanged
Five weeks before becoming president, Barack Obama urged passage of a
massive economic stimulus package, vowing that it would "create millions
of jobs by making the single largest new investment in our national
infrastructure since the creation of the federal highway system in the
1950s."
But the bill passed by the House yesterday dedicates only about 5 percent
of the $819 billion measure to highway, mass transit, and rail projects,
analysts said.

When open hand yields nothing, Obama shows GOP a clenched
fist on stimulus bill
President Barack Obama's soft-sell pitches to Republicans haven't
gotten him very far on his economic stimulus plan, so he's resorting
to a sharper tone that is at odds with his vow to make Washington less
partisan. Stopping just short of a take-it-or-leave-it stand, Obama
has mocked the notion that a stimulus bill shouldn't include huge
spending. He's also defended earmarks as inevitable in such a package.
And he's pointedly reminded Republicans about who won the November
election.

Commentary: Stimulate the economy, not
government 2/7/2009
We're on an economic tightrope. The package that passed
the House is a huge increase in the amount of government borrowing.
And we've borrowed so much already that if we add too much more debt,
or spend foolishly, we could invite an even bigger crisis.

The Fierce Urgency of Pork 2/7/2009
"A failure to act, and act now, will turn crisis into a
catastrophe."
-- President Obama, Feb. 4.
Catastrophe, mind you. So much for the president who in his
inaugural address two weeks earlier declared "we have chosen hope over
fear." Until, that is, you need fear to pass a bill. And so much for
the promise to banish the money changers and influence peddlers from
the temple. An ostentatious executive order banning lobbyists was
immediately followed by the nomination of at least a dozen current or
former lobbyists to high position. Followed by a Treasury secretary
who allegedly couldn't understand the payroll tax provisions in his
1040. Followed by Tom Daschle, who had to fall on his sword according
to the new Washington rule that no Cabinet can have more than one tax
delinquent.
I thought the awakening would take six months. It took two and a
half weeks.

'Doom' talk scored
as 'not presidential' 2/9/2009
Poses risk for 'Yes, we can' candidate
From crisis to catastrophe. Off a cliff. Dark, darker,
darkest. Mortal danger of absolute collapse. Armageddon.
President Obama and top Democrats on Capitol Hill are deploying these
and other stark predictions of doom and gloom to push through their
economic-stimulus package. In terms not heard in Washington since the late
1970s under President Jimmy Carter's watch, the new president has sought
to terrify Americans into supporting the $800 billion-plus bailout bill.
Brad Blakeman, a senior aide to Mr. Bush from 2001 to 2004, said the
new president's language is immature.
"It's not presidential. An American leader needs to be hopeful and
optimistic - and truthful. Everything he says is parsed; everything he
says is searched for deep meaning. When he goes to 'DefCon 5' on the
economy and says that we're on the brink of catastrophe, it's absolutely
insane."
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2009/feb/09/ramped-up-obama-rhetoric-could-backfire/
NOTE: This is the most pathetic
excuse for a "leader" as we've seen in modern times. Someone should tell
him a true "leader" doesn't spook the troops, he encourages them and
elevates them, but then trying to teach a Liberal to "encourage or
elevate" is like pushing a rope. |

Did Obama Tell an 'Out
and Out Lie'? 2/10/2009
In the course of crafting the economic stimulus bill, which is
about to face a key procedural vote in the Senate, Democrats have bragged
that the measure does not have any earmarks. Obama made the same point
during his appearance today in Elkhart, Ind. "Understand, this bill does
not have a single earmark in it, which is unprecedented for a bill of this
size, does not have a single earmark in it," Obama said.
But on the Senate floor a few minutes ago, in the midst of arguing
against the compromise stimulus measure, Coburn said that many of the
bill's advocates were claiming that there were no earmarks in it, but
"that's an out and out lie. A total untruth. There are tons of earmarks in
this bill."

Why Obama?s new Tarp
will fail to rescue the banks 2/11/2009
Has Barack Obama?s presidency already failed? In normal times, this would
be a ludicrous question. But these are not normal times. They are times of
great danger. Today, the new US administration can disown responsibility
for its inheritance; tomorrow, it will own it. Today, it can offer
solutions; tomorrow it will have become the problem. Today, it is in
control of events; tomorrow, events will take control of it. Doing too
little is now far riskier than doing too much. If he fails to act
decisively, the president risks being overwhelmed, like his predecessor.
The costs to the US and the world of another failed presidency do not bear
contemplating.

Barack Obama and Tim
Geithner rob Main Street of $3 trillion 2/12/2009
"The sparkle has gone from
his eyes already," an American acquaintance said to me yesterday,
referring to Barack Obama. "He doesn't know what to do." Obama's
performance at his press conference confirmed that impression, with the
rhetoric of the campaign trail, fluent and banal as piped musak, replaced
with long hesitations not just between sentences, but between clauses.
This was an auto-cue junkie suffering cold turkey.
It is madness. These lunatics are mugging Main Street of $3 trillion
and squandering it on a liberal fantasy. It could be a generation before
America recovers - not simply from the loss of these funds, but from the
economic mismanagement of which it is a symptom. The fall-out will be very
serious for the rest of the world. Hope? Change we need? Vote in haste,

Obama's outrageous

President Obama clearly didn't
do his homework before ordering the suspension of military tribunals to
try terrorist suspects. We have learned that even his own legal counsel
admitted that Mr. Obama erred in discussing details about terrorism with
families of victims last week, and that the administration was ignorant of
a key point that terrorists exploit to their advantage. In his rush to
fulfill a campaign promise to his more fervid anti-war supporters, the
president's legal oversights risk the disclosure of some highly classified
information to terrorists.

Obama's 1st 30 days 2/23/2009

Obama's cap, trade
irk some in party 3/2/2009
Senators wary of state costs
Senate Democrats are breaking with President Obama over his plan
for sweeping new climate-change laws that he says will rake in billions of
dollars to help offset massive budget deficits.
The dissenters, mostly Democrats from Rust Belt states likely to be hit
hardest by the proposed environmental rules, question the economic impact
of the program that would cap carbon-dioxide emissions and then sell to
businesses the right to emit that carbon dioxide.
The senators also want their states to get a chunk of the windfall from
selling the credits - $646 billion over 10 years by Mr. Obama's estimate.

The Obama Economy
3/4/2009
As the Dow keeps dropping, the President is running out of
people to blame.
As 2009 opened, three weeks before Barack Obama took office, the Dow
Jones Industrial Average closed at 9034 on January 2, its highest level
since the autumn panic. Yesterday the Dow fell another 4.24% to 6763, for
an overall decline of 25% in two months and to its lowest level since
1997. The dismaying message here is that President Obama's policies have
become part of the economy's problem.
The market has notably plunged since Mr. Obama introduced his budget
last week, and that should be no surprise. The document was a declaration
of hostility toward capitalists across the economy.

Deception at Core of
Obama Plans 3/7/2009
Forget the pork. Forget the waste. Forget the 8,570 earmarks in a
bill supported by a president who poses as the scourge of earmarks. Forget
the "$2 trillion dollars in savings" that "we have already identified,"
$1.6 trillion of which President Obama's budget director later admits is
the "savings" of not continuing the surge in Iraq until 2019
-- 11 years after George Bush ended it, and eight years after even Bush
would have had us out of Iraq completely.
Forget all of this. This is run-of-the-mill budget trickery. True,
Obama's tricks come festooned with strings of zeros tacked onto the end.
But that's a matter of scale, not principle.
All presidents do that. But few undertake the kind of brazen
deception at the heart of Obama's radically transformative economic plan,

WHAT'S BEHIND BARACK'S
BRIT SNIT 3/9/2009
PRESIDENT Obama's first hosting of a foreign leader, the UK's Gordon
Brown, was a diplomatic disaster.
Also notable were the two leaders' choices for the traditional gift
exchange: Brown's carefully chosen official gifts included a pen holder
made from a Royal Navy vessel that once fought to end the Atlantic slave
trade and a first edition of the eight-volume biography of Winston
Churchill begun by Winston's son Randolph and completed by Sir Martin
Gilbert. Obama paid him back with a stack of Hollywood movies on DVD that
Brown could just as easily have ordered from Netflix.

Perpetuating a
Needless Stem-Cell War 3/9/2009
Obama's decision is bad ethics, bad science, and bad politics.
President Obama today fulfilled his campaign promise to lift
federal-funding restrictions on research involving the destruction of
human embryos. He couldn't have done so at a more inappropriate time, for
just last week scientists made headlines again announcing yet another
breakthrough in what is known as "induced pluripotent stem-cell"
technology. Following up on the initial breakthrough in November 2007 that
allowed scientists to produce the biological equivalent of embryonic stem
cells without creating, using, or destroying any human embryos, scientists
have continued to refine their methods.

If Mr Obama were a centrist he would be positioning himself to the right

The 10 Biggest
Amateur Mistakes By the Obama Administration So Far 3/10/2009
During the 2008 presidential campaign, people speculated whether
someone like Barack Obama, who has never really run anything or had any
major achievements other than winning political office, could handle a
three AM crisis call. Well, as it turns out, Obama has been such a
bumbling incompetent that he probably couldn't handle a trip through a
Wendy's drive-in window without a teleprompter telling him what to order
and whether he wants a Coke or a Mountain Dew.
10) After doing the "We've got to have this stimulus package passed
right this second or the economy is going to explode" routine so
convincingly that not one single soul in Congress actually had time to
read the entire bill before it was signed, Barack Obama then promptly went
on a three day vacation to celebrate before he signed it.
9) In a juvenile stunt, reminiscent of something a third grader might
come up with, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton handed Russian foreign
minister Sergei Lavrov a button that was supposed to say "reset." However,
incredibly, the word on the button translated to "overcharge," not
"reset."
8) When Barack Obama was trying to sell America his stimulus bill that
will put the country more than a trillion dollars in debt, he alerted
America that, "Caterpillar's chief executive?told him the company
will rehire some laid-off workers if the stimulus bill passes." But,
when he was asked about Obama's statement, Caterpillar CEO Jim Owens
said, "I think realistically no.
7) A large part of Barack Obama's appeal was the idea of racial
reconciliation. The implicit deal was that by putting our first black
President in office, America would prove once and for all that it wasn't
racist, and we could put all this silly squabbling about race in the rear
view mirror once and for all. However, not only has it failed to work out
that way, Obama's Attorney General Eric Holder issued an an insulting
challenge on the topic to the American people,
6) Typically, Presidents don't pick fights with pundits and talk radio
hosts for obvious reasons. It draws more attention to their criticisms,
elevates their status, and comes across as thin skinned and a little
creepy, much like Richard Nixon's "Enemies list."
5) The first task a new President engages in is bringing a staff on
board. After choosing Joe Biden, who has behaved like he was kicked in the
head by a horse as a child, things have really gone down hill from there.
4) George Bush spent a lot of time strengthening our ties to Eastern
European nations like Poland and the Czech Republic during his two terms
in the White House. Yet, it took Barack Obama less than two months to undo
much of Bush?s good work with those nations.
3) After making a stink by sending back a Winston Churchill bust,
Barack Obama blew off a press conference with British Prime Minister
Gordon Brown -- but, the real kicker was the gifts.
2) Choosing tax cheat Timothy Geithner to be his Treasury Secretary was
such an incredible screw up that it deserves it own entry.
1) Barack Obama may be a liberal thriller, but he's also a stock market
killer.

Worries grow that Barack Obama & Co. have a competence problem 3/15/2009
The beat goes on. Last week,
Obama brazenly gave a speech about earmark reform just after he quietly
signed a $410 billion spending bill that had about 9,000 earmarks in it.
He denounced Bush's habit of disregarding pieces of laws he didn't like,
so-called signing statements, then issued one himself.
And in an absolute jaw-dropper, he told business leaders, "I don't

expanding government's role."
No wonder Americans are confused. Our President is, too.

Why the polls say
Obama is worse than Bush 3/16/2009
There is much more to the fact that President Obama now polls lower than
President Bush did at fifty days into his presidency than merely what
bi-partisan pollsters Schoen and Rasmussen were able to point out this
week. In nearly every category of performance, President Obama has adeptly
demonstrated that he is in over his head, and sinking fast. "We the
people" sense his inability to make sound decisions and thusly, the
President has wiped out nearly all of the Republican support he enjoyed
not long ago, and Independents are not far behind.

Some Dems want brake in
Obama plans 3/18/2009
Barack Obama's Big Bang Theory of Governance is starting to face its
first big test among the new president's fellow Democrats.
At the White House Tuesday morning, Obama began the day with a sharp
push-back against the idea that his far-reaching agenda on health care,
energy and other initiatives is too much, too soon.
As Obama?s remarks echoed on Capitol Hill, it soon became clear that
the skeptics are not just Republicans.

SPARE US YOUR FAKE FURY,

ALL the world's a stage, wrote Shakespeare, and in the world of
Washington, the curtains have opened on the most elaborate farce of the

Welcome, taxpayers, to the Kabuki Theater of AIG Outrage - where DC's
histrionic enablers of taxpayer-funded corporate bailouts compete for Best

The checks were mailed Friday, but the March 15 bonus deadline had

Two Faced: Dodd
Protected Bonuses, Now He Wants Them Out 3/18/2009
Democratic Sen. Christopher Dodd on Monday criticized the bonuses given
to executives of American International Group Inc. and suggested that the
government could tax the recipients to recoup some or all of the payouts.
But it was Dodd who inserted language ? known as the Dodd amendment ?
in the $787 billion stimulus bill that allowed all bonuses awarded before
February 11, 2009, to be paid to AIG executives. That very amendment,
which is now law, is now the chief hurdle to government officials who want
to recover that money.

The Banality of Obama
3/20/2009
Pundits have been critiquing the new administration for its
socialism, for its willful ignorance of foreign policy, for its puerile
missteps, but the salient fact of the Obama Presidency is its banality.
He who promised change has dredged up the failed nostrums of the past as
if they were something new and fresh. In fact, the ordinariness, the
dullness, the lifelessness of the Obama Administration is obvious.
*What is the answer to a collapsing economy? Obama simply resorts
to the seventy-five year old policies of FDR.
*What is Obama's foreign policy? It is a return to the naivet?of
Woodrow Wilson of a century ago and to the sanctimonious silliness of
Jimmy Carter three decades ago.
*What is the answer to our problem of national morale? President
Obama will use the bully pulpit - again and again and again. Teddy
Roosevelt coined that term ... over one hundred years ago.
*President Obama seems to think that if he just does even more of
what nearly every president in the last fifty years has done, miracles
will follow.

Obama Faces Cold
Reception in Europe 3/29/2009
Support Has Turned to Opposition Over Stimulus Plan
The last time President Obama went to Europe, he was greeted
with raucous applause and 200,000 Europeans choking a Berlin square,
chanting "Obama" and "Yes We Can."
This time, as the president heads to London this week to press the
Group of 20 nations for a global economic stimulus plan, he's likely to
get a warm reception but cold comfort from many European leaders.

Anyone still harboring the illusion that President Barack Obama cares

Smart people always make the most dangerous fools.
This election, I predict, will stand as the most perfect example of

liberal-racism petard and doesn't even have the courage to admit it. We
have become a Nation of fools and President Barack Obama is our just

Private Medicare
plans get new rules 3/30/2009
The Obama administration Monday placed new curbs on private insurance
plans that are popular with seniors in Medicare, but have been criticized
for marketing abuses and high costs to the government.
In a separate move, the administration has proposed payment cuts of
3.75 percent overall to private medical plans that serve seniors. Insurers
claim the cut could be as high as 5 percent for some plans, and they'll
have to pass on the cost through higher premiums or fewer benefits.

PROMISES,
PROMISES: Obama tax pledge up in smoke 4/1/2009
One of President Barack Obama's campaign pledges on taxes went up
in puffs of smoke Wednesday.
The largest increase in tobacco taxes took effect despite Obama's
promise not to raise taxes of any kind on families earning under $250,000
or individuals under $200,000.
This is one tax that disproportionately affects the poor, who are
more likely to smoke than the rich.
"I can make a firm pledge," he said in Dover, N.H., on Sept. 12. "Under my
plan, no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax
increase. Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital
gains taxes, not any of your taxes."
He repeatedly vowed "you will not see any of your taxes increase
one single dime."
Now in office, Obama, who stopped smoking but has admitted he slips
now and then, signed a law raising the tobacco tax nearly 62 cents on a
pack of cigarettes, to $1.01. Other tobacco products saw similarly steep
increases.

Saving
federal money the easy way 4/21/2009
The thrifty measures Obama ordered for federal agencies are the
equivalent of asking a family that spends $60,000 in a year to save
$6.
The president gave his Cabinet 90 days to find $100 million in
savings to achieve over time.
For all the trumpeting, the effort raised questions about why Obama
set the bar so low, considering that $100 million amounts to:
_Less than one-quarter of the budget increase that
Congress awarded to itself.
_4 percent of the military aid the
United States sends to
Israel.
_Less than half the cost of one F-22 fighter plane.
_7 percent of the federal subsidy for the money-losing Amtrak
passenger rail system.
_1/10,000th of the government's operating budgets for Cabinet
agencies, excluding the Iraq and Afghan wars and the stimulus bill.
Republicans were quick to point out that borrowing costs for
February's stimulus package will on average cost almost $100 million a
day over the next decade.

Socialism, as Winston Churchill defined it, is a philosophy of

arbitrarily decided what companies will fail and pumped and inflated
others with fat TARP and bailout funds, but at a devil of a cost.

Judi McLeod of Canada Free Press wrote that the bill simply would

sanctioned by 'Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education

started it all.
"There's no room for God in Obama's long promised Youth Brigade, no

plan requires anyone receiving school loans, among others to serve at

Wrong About Raul's Words 4/23/2009
"There's no doubt the president
interpreted badly the declaration by Raul," said Castro, referring to a
statement by his younger brother, President Raul Castro, on Thursday in
which he said Cuba was prepared to discuss "everything" with the United
States, including political prisoners and human rights.

NOTE: Well, so much for "extending
the hand of friendship" - now O knows what you get - - - you get bitten!
Apparently Fidel is so old and senile he doesn't recognize another
Socialist when he sees one. |

Obama's leap to
socialism 4/23/2009
President Obama showed his hand this week when The New York
Times wrote that he is considering converting the stock the government
owns in our country?s banks from preferred stock, which it now holds, to
common stock.
This seemingly insignificant change is momentous. It means that the
federal government will control all of the major banks and financial
institutions in the nation. It means socialism.
And whoever controls the banks controls the credit and,
therefore, the economy. That's called socialism.

Presidential
Poison 4/23/2009
His invitation to indict Bush officials will haunt Obama's
Presidency.
Mark down the date. Tuesday, April 21, 2009, is the moment that any
chance of a new era of bipartisan respect in Washington ended. By inviting
the prosecution of Bush officials for their antiterror legal advice,
President Obama has injected a poison into our politics that he and the
country will live to regret.
But at least until now, the U.S. political system has avoided the
spectacle of a new Administration prosecuting its predecessor for policy
disagreements. This is what happens in Argentina, Malaysia or Peru,
countries where the law is treated merely as an extension of political
power.
Mr. Obama is more popular than his policies, due in part to his
personal charm and his seeming goodwill. By indulging his party's desire
to criminalize policy advice, he has unleashed furies that will haunt his
Presidency.

Obama Earth Day
Flights Burned More Than 9,000 Gallons Of Fuel 4/24/2009
President Obama could have saved at least 9,116 gallons of fuel by giving
his speech at the White House ? but no wind turbines are manufactured
here.

A Damaging First
100 Days 4/25/2009
President Obama has spent more money in his first 100 days than any
president in U.S. history. In fact, the Pelosi-Reid budget Congress just
passed with Obama's blessing doubles the debt in five years, and triples
it in ten. To give some perspective, that debt level is higher than the
combined debt levels generated under every president from George
Washington to George W. Bush.

Does Obama Understand
Real America?
When Barack confided to friends in San Francisco that he was having
trouble in Pennsylvania because these folks "get bitter,
they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them
. . . as a way to explain their frustrations,"
he revealed that he does not really understand a part of the nation he now
leads.

Ahmadinejad: US not
sending clear signals to Iran 4/27/2009
Washington has not sent Iran sufficient signals on whether the U.S. wants
warmer relations and President Barack Obama's support for Israel during
its offensive in Gaza was "a major mistake," Iran's president said in an
interview broadcast Sunday.

Obama's Plans May
Be Doomed by Unchecked Spending 4/27/2009
'A hundred million there, a hundred million here, pretty soon, even in
Washington, it adds up to real money,' President Barack Obama declared
last week, paraphrasing a line attributed to the late Republican Senate
leader, Everett Dirksen.

20 Great Moments
from Obama's First 100 Days! 4/28/2009
Future generations will want to study Barack Obama's presidency, not
only because he made history by being America's first black President, but
because he also appears to be on track to be America's worst President.
Sure, everybody wants to know the minute details of what Abe Lincoln or
Teddy Roosevelt did in the White House, but how many Americans are
clamoring for the full story of the U.S. Grant or Jimmy Carter
presidencies?
That's a shame, too, because those who don't remember history are
doomed to repeat it and it's not certain that America could survive
another incompetent of Obama's caliber in charge -- although, in all
fairness, Rome made it through quite a few emperors who were probably only
marginally more on the ball than Obama, so perhaps I'm being overly
pessimistic.

100 DARK DAYS IN
AMERICAN HISTORY |

|
100 and NOT 1
4/29/2009
NOTE: It's been 100 days and still not 1 single simple birth certificate
has been produced by Barry Sorento, however $1M has been spent by lawyers
SINCE inauguration to defend against opening of records by O - a simple 5
minute phone call to Hawaii would clear all questions. The arrogance of O
is stunning.

Is this the 100th
day Barack Obama is not really president? 4/29/2009
If Barack Hussein Obama has nothing to hide, WHY doesn't he just make
his real birth certificate public? WHY has he spent a reported $800,000.00
in attorney fees to fight efforts to obtain his ACTUAL BIRTH CERTIFICATE?
The more that he fights these efforts to see it, the more you have to
wonder, WHY?

FAA Memo: Feds

Threatened Federal Sanctions Against NYPD, Secret Service, FBI & Mayor's

Federal officials knew that sending two fighter jets and Air Force One
to buzz ground zero and Lady Liberty might set off nightmarish fears of a
9/11 replay, but they still ordered the photo-op kept secret from the
public.

First 100 days more talk
than action 4/29/2009
The Obama administration has done a magnificent job of talking a
good game when it comes to change. It has completely reworked the art of
political communication and has largely kept the fawning media bamboozled.
But by historic standards, the first 100 days of the Obama
administration have been a lot of sizzle and not a lot of substance.

When the Obama
Backlash Comes 4/29/2009
The contradictions between Obama's words and actions are many. He
opposes big government, and then he vastly expands it. He says he favors
bipartisanship, but doesn't practice it. He says he is against earmarks,
and then signs the largest pork package in history. And that is just to
name a few.

100 Days of
Reckless Photo-Op Hubris 4/29/2009
Come on, who's surprised? The White House-engineered photo-op of
low-flying Air Force aircraft that caused terror in New York City this
week epitomizes the Age of Obama. What better way to mark 100 days in
office than with an appalling exercise in pointless taxpayer-funded
stagecraft?

continue to want to live in a city and is panicked by a low flying
airplane? |

Obama: The 'Pitchman'
President 4/29/2009
President Barack Obama won election on his promise of change, and
his first 100 days have accomplished that in more ways than one. Not only
is he planning to boost federal spending 25 percent while nearly tripling
the national debt, he has transformed the job of president itself.
The president is often referred to as the chief executive officer,
meaning he devises and implements policies. But having never actually run
anything beyond his own campaign, Obama apparently sees himself as someone
who articulates goals but is not necessarily required to follow through on
implementing them.
